The intellectual origins

Our History

In classical Arabic, ʿĀlim (عَالِم):

The knower, the learned one.

In biblical Hebrew, (עַל / ʿĀlam & עוֹלָם / ʿŌlām):

That which escapes sight, the hidden, the temporal horizon (eternity), then the world.

In ancient Aramaic: (חלמא / עָלְמָא / ʿĀlmā):

That which extends beyond sight, the totality of time (the ages) and the universe.

What if Machiavelli could review your strategy? If Mazarin could comment on your decision? Alim makes that conversation possible, one history could never offer.

Alim was born from a deep love of authors, texts and thought. Here is what drives us, where we come from and what we are building.

A journey, since 2020

From the Alim project to Alim AI

2020

The idea

After completing his studies, Yassine Kada imagines a firm founded on a conviction: advice cannot be reduced to technical expertise alone. It also draws on History, philosophy and a deep understanding of concepts.

Research for his dissertation brings together an initial constellation of authors, from Saint-Simon to Thomas d’Aquin, from Al-Kindi to Wittgenstein.

An idea takes shape: to organise this intellectual heritage and put it at the service of decision-making.

The Alim project is born.

2021

The project takes shape

Kada Advisory is established. Alongside the firm, Alim begins to take shape, far removed from any commercial imperative.

Twenty-five handwritten notebooks are envisaged to explore twenty-five centuries of human thought.

Two former classmates join Yassine Kada in what they already consider a life’s work: reading, comparing, synthesising and passing on knowledge.

2022

The project endures

The firm’s activities are suspended. Alim continues.

Without an immediate commercial purpose, the project keeps developing and affirms what will remain one of its founding characteristics: it was not born as a product to sell, but as a research undertaking built to last.

These origins, free from commercial motives, continue to guide the project: as Alim becomes a tool available to the public, the ambition remains to keep it free of charge for personal use as far as possible, with particular attention to students and people under 25.

2023

From manuscript to digital

Rapid advances in artificial intelligence open up a new perspective.

The corpus assembled around Alim begins to move into a digital environment.

For the first time, a possibility emerges: not merely to preserve and synthesise these ideas, but to make it possible to question them.

2024

The firm returns

Advisory activities resume.

The Alim project returns to the ground for which it was intended from the outset: bringing the depth of ideas to bear on real questions of decision-making.

2025

From Alim to Alim AI

Kada Advisory becomes Kada Atlas Advisory, while the various advisory activities are brought together under one banner: Kada & Rozart.

At the same time, a new chapter begins for Alim.

Advances in artificial intelligence make possible what the notebooks had previously only allowed their authors to imagine: enabling a user to enter into dialogue with centuries of thought.

Development of Alim AI begins.

2026

The collaboration model

Kada & Rozart evolves towards a model of collaboration between partners, bringing complementary expertise together within one structure.

This new organisation offers Alim a broader field for experimentation.

The first beta version of Alim AI is released.

Vision Atlas 2027

Opening internationally

Alim AI enters its deployment phase.

Supported by the international network of Kada & Rozart partners, the project is designed from its launch to serve users and organisations beyond its original market.

What endures

Our fundamental conviction

Tools change, formats evolve and technology opens up new possibilities. Alim’s conviction endures: to share and build on knowledge, bring ideas into dialogue and put their depth at the service of decision-making.

The wheel

The ways we travel through the world evolve. Each invention builds on what came before.
